License & attribution

CodexSkin is an independent product inspired by the open-source Codex Dream Skin approach. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI.

Software

The local runner is built from original CodexSkin code plus MIT-compatible techniques inspired by Fei-Away/Codex-Dream-Skin. The upstream project is MIT licensed for its software code; downstream redistribution must preserve applicable license and notice terms.

Theme assets

Public CodexSkin packs should use original, licensed, or otherwise cleared artwork. Do not upload or redistribute celebrity likenesses, franchise art, app screenshots, logos, watermarks, or third-party assets unless you have the rights to do so.

Trademark boundary

Codex and OpenAI trademarks belong to their respective owners. CodexSkin does not redistribute, modify, patch, repackage, or re-sign the official Codex Desktop application.
