Extract the ZIP first. On Windows, double-click Install-Windows.cmd. The visible launcher calls the adjacent PowerShell script, copies only pet.json and spritesheet.webp, and asks before replacing an existing pet.

Download and extract the package to a new folder.

On Windows, double-click Install-Windows.cmd. On macOS, run the command shown in README.txt.

Approve replacement only if you already installed this same pet id.

Keep Codex open. Go to Settings → Appearance → Pets, refresh custom pets, then select it.

If you use CodexSkin and a restart is ever needed, relaunch through Apply CodexSkin—not the Start menu.
